A new PDC Form Guide has been released. For this alternative world ranking, only the last 200 played legs of each PDC Tour Card holder are taken into account.
Despite being World No.2, Luke Littler sits top of the rankings. The 18-year-old is one of two players with over 100 averages, sharing that with Josh Rock who sits second on the guide. Littler averaged an impressive 103.22, Josh Rock 101.11.
The World No.1 Luke Humphries has had a dip of form over the last few months and is not even in the top 10 on the PDCs form guide. Humphries crashed out of the World Matchplay in the first round back in July and has since struggled, not picking up either of the World Series titles over in Australia and New Zealand.
Sitting in third, Gerwyn Price, averaging an impressive 99.90 with 44.52% on the doubles. The Iceman has been on fire recently reaching the World Cup final with Jonny Clayton. Fellow Welshman and teammate Clayton holds the 4th position on form and recently reached the World Matchplay semi final where he fell short to James Wade.
Stephen “The Bullet” Bunting is 5th in the rankings, with a 98.51 average and 41.16% on the doubles, the third lowest % after Nathan Aspinall and Luke Littler. Since the last guide was released, Bunting has had some mixed results especially in the Players Championship.
One perhaps shock name on this list, Bradley Brooks who only picked up his tour card earlier this year. The young Englishman has impressed on Tour this year since regaining his card. Averaging 97.98 over the last 200 legs with 42% on the doubles is something that Brooks will look to continue in hopes of picking up another PDC title after his win at the Players Championship 21.
Making up the rest of the list are James Wade, Gian van Veen, Damon Heta and Nathan Aspinall. All averaging above 97 and most making some deep runs in the Matchplay. James Wade reaching the final and Gian van Veen defeating Luke Humphries on his run to the Quarter Finals.
The alternative PDC ranking is good to gauge the form going into a tournament like the World Grand Prix of Darts. Many of these names will be chasing that title in the hopes of winning it for the first time and finding form before the upcoming World Championships in December and January.
