A number of new participants have again been added to the lineup for the 2026 World Seniors Darts Championship. Vincent van der Voort and Martin Adams will make their appearance at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet.
For Van der Voort, it is his second invitation to the World Seniors Darts Championship. He had also received an invitation for this year's edition, but Van der Voort had to withdraw at the last minute due to a foot injury.
Adams has been part of the field of competitors since the inception of the World Seniors Darts Tour in 2022. At the first edition in 2022, Adams lost 5-1 to Robert Thornton in the final.
It was announced earlier that Ross Montgomery, John Henderson, Robert Thornton, Simon Whitlock, Steve Beaton, Darryl Fitton, Tony O'Shea, Neil Duff and Trina Gulliver had confirmed their participation. For a number of players, this is subject to them not having a PDC Tour Card in 2026. After all, players with Tour Cards are not allowed to compete in televised tournaments of other federations.
The fifth edition of the World Seniors Darts Championship will take place from 19 to 21 February in Purfleet, the venue where the PDC World Championship was played from 1994 to 2007. In 2025, the title was won by Montgomery, who was too strong for Graham Usher in the final, 5-1.
