For Belgium the World Cup of Darts 2025 ended in a big disappointment. Mike De Decker and Dimitri Van den Bergh won their opening match against Latvia, but then went down dramatically 4-3 against the Philippines after giving away a 3-0 lead.

The Belgians thus finished second in their group and missed out on the knockout phase for the first time in the history of the World Cup of Darts. Needless to say, the Belgian camp was extremely disappointed.

A day later, Dimitri Van den Bergh let slip after the elimination. "Mike and I played with heart and soul for Belgium. It's not the result we wanted, but congratulations to the Philippines for their great comeback! Mike and I will come back stronger next year. Thank you all for the support. It was unreal," said 'The DreamMaker'.

Van den Bergh will remain in Frankfurt for the next two days and from there will fly directly to Leicester, where he will compete in floor tournaments next week. It is the first time since his two-month break that he has participated individually in a PDC competition.
