20 movies and TV shows that should have stayed on the cutting room floor

These 20 movies and TV shows just didn't do it for us.

'Baddies'

'Baddies'
Sthanlee B. Mirador/Sipa USA

Zeus Network's Baddies is missing all of the redeeming qualities The Bad Girls Club on Oxygen had: original storylines, charismatic characters, and authentic relationships. It's a shame, too, because BGC will always be iconic.

'Parental Control'

'Parental Control'
MTV

Although MTV had some pretty interesting shows, at some point, it became clear they were scripted, which made Parental Control ultra corny to us. Plus, watching some of the teenagers disrespect their parents the way they did was never relatable ... at least not to us.

'I Wanna Marry Harry'

At the time, a dating show with contestants eager to be with someone who looked like Prince Harry seemed interesting; however, looking back on it, the concept was quite strange. Plus, the Harry look-a-like was nothing like the real thing. Just throw this one away entirely.

Like Parental Control, looking back at this show gives us second-hand embarrassment. I mean, who could take spiky hair with frosted tips seriously anyway?

'Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?'

Travis Kelce definitely has star power, but his hosting abilities ... could use some work. The NFL star has been hosting Amazon Prime's Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, and although the concept piques our interest, Kelce, as the frontrunner, does not. If there's a second season, perhaps they'll work on his demeanor in front of the camera.

'Best Funeral Ever'

'Best Funeral Ever'
TLC via YouTube

Just take a look at the title. It's creepy, ominous, and downright disturbing. But then again ... it's TLC we're talking about.

'Cats' (2019)

'Cats' (2019)
Working Title Films Amblin Entertainment Perfect World Pictures Monumental Pictures The Really Useful Group

We didn't need this. No one needed this. Not even the director knew what was happening.

'Dog With a Blog'

'Dog With a Blog'
Disney

After Raven, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus left the Disney Channel, the quality of the network's shows seemed to plummet. A prime example is their 2012 sitcom Dog With a Blog. Why would there need to be a show for tweens where the lead character is a talking Border Collie?

'Fireproof'

'Fireproof'
The Kendrick Brothers

Several faith-based movies pull at the heartstrings, like the Kendrick Brothers' War Room with Priscilla Shirer. However, their 2008 film Fireproof, starring Kirk Cameron, was the complete opposite. The moment they lost us? When the lead character started smashing his computer with a baseball bat to curb his temptations.

'Scary Movie 5'

'Scary Movie 5'
Brad Grey Pictures, DZE

It's Scary Movie 5. With the exception of the first and third, most of the films in this franchise could've stayed on the cutting room floor. Sorry, Ashley Tisdale.

'The Real Housewives of Dubai' (Season 2)

'The Real Housewives of Dubai' (Season 2)
Jocelyn Prescod/Bravo

Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Dubai had us tuned in. The franchise's first international series seemed to have it all. Glamorous women, high fashion, and shade! However, Bravo lost a lot of viewers after keeping Season 2 in the editing room for so long. Once it aired, audiences quickly called it a flop, leading Andy Cohen to place the ladies on a hiatus.

'Mean Girls 2' and 'Mean Girls: The Musical'

'Mean Girls 2' and 'Mean Girls: The Musical'
Broadway Video, Little Stranger

Hasn't Tina Fey heard? Don't touch the classics! There are some films, like the 2004 blockbuster Mean Girls, that can't be recreated.

'Bring It On: Four, Five, Six, and Seven'

'Bring It On: Four, Five, Six, and Seven'
Brookwell McNamara Entertainment/Beacon Pictures

There's something special about Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union in the first Bring It On that will live on forever. The third movie, which featured Solange Knowles, is quite iconic, too. But the franchise's fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh movies were so painfully terrible that it was a struggle to get through. The last film went straight to DVD, and should they ever make another, they must find a way to get the East Compton Clovers and Rancho Carne Toros involved.

'Incredibles 2'

'Incredibles 2'
Pixar

We love The Incredibles, so it's hard to list them here. However, the second movie didn't live up to the hype ... at all. Instead of a new story, fans received a storyline that was nearly similar to the first movie, which wasn't enjoyable for anyone. Recently, Pixar announced that a third movie would hit theatres soon. Let's hope we get more Dash, Violet, and, of course, Edna Mode.

'Cavemen'

'Cavemen'
Double Vision Productions Television 360 ABC Studios

We all remember the cavemen from Geico's insurance commercials. Well, in 2007, ABC developed a TV show based on them. Sound ridiculous? That's because it is. The show lasted one season and aired 13 episodes.

So, what did Geico learn from this? Stick to commercials.

'God's Not Dead'

'God's Not Dead'
Pure Flix

This movie featured many emotional scenes, but overall, it was so cheesy. Somehow, though, they've released four more.

'The Biggest Loser'

'The Biggest Loser'
Talk About The BIggest Loser via Youtube

It's almost like the name-calling, body shaming, and calorie restriction methods taught on this show aren't good habits for someone who wants to lose weight to develop. Thankfully, the show aired its final season in 2020.

'Kid Nation'

'Kid Nation'

Why did CBS think creating a Survivor-like reality show with only children would be a good idea?

'Who's Your Daddy?'

'Who's Your Daddy?'
YouTube

In this Fox series, producers placed an adult who had been adopted as a child in a room with eight men. One of those men was the contestant's father. If the contestant could guess their father correctly, they'd get $100K. If they guessed incorrectly, that person would walk away with the money. Fox only aired one episode in 2005 (despite producing five) due to the low ratings and negative audience reactions.

'Work It!'

'Work It!'
Summer School Productions Bonanza Productions Warner Bros. Television

Work It! featured two men who disguised themselves as women after claiming they were the reason they couldn't land jobs. "Women are taking over the workforce," one of the characters said in the trailer. LGBTQ+ activist groups voiced their displeasure over the series, claiming it was transphobic. This ultimately led to the show's cancellation.
