Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves' have intense face-off in new "Ballerina" trailer

We'd like to tell you that there is a new trailer for "Ballerina," but technically we have to say there is a new trailer for, ahem, "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina." That's a clunky name clearly designed to make sure people realize this is a "John Wick" movie. To that end, this new trailer also showcases the fact that, yes Keanu Reeves as John Wick is in "Ballerina."

"Ballerina" is something of a sidequel, as it takes place during the events of the third John Wick film, which is fittingly the one with a clunky title itself: "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum." Ana de Armas joins the highly-stylized, heavily-mythologized world of these movies as a ballerina/assassin. While she is the star, they are really leaning into the Wick of it all, with Reeves, Ian McShane, and the late Lance Reddick (in his last film role) all appearing in the film.

This movie will also arrive into the world with both an awkward title and a lot of murmurs about the production. While Len Wiseman is the credited director, reports are Chad Stahelski, director of the four "John Wick" movies, stepped in for extensive reshoots without Wiseman around. That's concerning, but on the other hand the same thing happened with "Rogue One" and that's the best "Star Wars" movie of the last 40 years.

From the title (which literally puts John Wick's name before the titular character) to this trailer to the fact Reeves' good buddy Stahelski purportedly did most of the directing, this really feels like a fifth "John Wick" movie that also happens to have Ana de Armas in a large role. Well, that could be a recipe for success. "Ballerina" is out June 6, so we'll find out this summer.
