Apparently, fans aren't the only ones hoping for a Schitt's Creek reunion, whether it's in the form of a movie or reboot. Star Annie Murphy, who played the hilarious Alexis Rose, told TODAY, "Listen, I want that as badly as other people seem to. I’m not going to stop trying to manifest that."
While nothing is currently in the works, the actress confirms that she still keeps in touch with co-stars Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Sarah Levy, and Emily Hampshire. "We all like try to keep in touch as much as we can," she explained. "Because it was such a special show for all of us. And we all love each other so much."
The beloved comedy ran for a total of 6 seasons and was created by the father-son duo of Eugene and Dan Levy. Murphy will next be seen as Imogen in the upcoming season of Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers, which will premiere with two episodes on May 21.
When describing her newest role, she said that Imogen is a "real know-it-all and likes you to know that immediately and thinks that's how she's going to gain friends and it never works out."
As for whether her Schitt's Creek and Nine Perfect Strangers characters could ever be friends, she answered, "No, I think Imogen would write Alexis off as a ditz — even though Alexis is not a ditz. But I think Imogen is a very judgy little minx, and I think she would make a pretty hard judgment and judge a book by its cover and never look back."
All episodes of Schitt's Creek are available to watch on Hulu. New episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 will be released weekly, on Wednesdays, leading up to the season finale on July 2.
