We have some big Emily In Paris casting news for the upcoming fifth season, which is currently in production. Bryan Greenberg and Michèle Laroque will be joining in a recurring capacity.
Greenberg will take on the role of Jake, an American who is living in Paris, while Laroque will portray Yvette, an old friend of Sylvie’s. This comes after Minnie Driver has already been announced as Princess Jane, another friend of Sylvie’s who is married into a royal family.
The rest of the season 5 cast includes Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, Thalia Besson as Genevieve, and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie.
"From Parisian rooftops to Roman ruins, we can’t wait to share where Emily’s next chapter takes us," creator Darren Star said back when the show was renewed for a fifth season.
While it has been confirmed that Camille Razat, who played Camille and has been part of the series since the first season, will not be back, Paul Forman and Arnaud Binard will be reprising their roles as Nico and Laurent G, respectively.
As for what fans can expect, Star shared in a recent interview with Deadline, "I think we’ve got a really terrific season coming up. We filmed in Rome for the first four weeks, and that was an exciting experience to be there. Now we’re back in Paris, Emily is definitely back in Paris."
Emily In Paris is set to return this year. In the meantime, the first four seasons are all streaming on Netflix.
