Was it Miss Scarlett in the kitchen with a rope? Or perhaps Colonel Mustard in the library with a candlestick? Contestants gear up to crack the case with Netflix’s new unscripted competition series.
Today, Netflix announced that it’s bringing Clue, the world’s most famous mystery board game from Hasbro, to life. Contestants will step into a real-life game of deduction and deception, facing off in physical and mental challenges to uncover clues and solve the mystery.
To win, players must outwit their opponents by answering three big questions: who, where, and with what? Correctly identify the three components of the crime, and add money to the prize pot. Guess incorrectly, and face elimination.
The show will include appearances by our favorite colorful characters from the original board game. Viewers can also expect suspense, surprises, and plenty of red herrings.
“Like so many families and friends over the years, we’ve gathered around the table trying to figure out who did it—making CLUE a source of nostalgia that everyone shares,” said Jeff Gaspin, VP of Unscripted Series, Netflix. “Thanks to the incredible vision of our partners at Hasbro Entertainment, IPC, and B17, we’re delivering a fresh, imaginative whodunit competition that will invite today’s audiences into that iconic world.”
