You’d think after “breaking the Bank” that Danny Ocean and his crew could fund whatever endeavor they wanted for the rest of their lives. Only it turns out that if you want to make Ocean’s Fourteen , you still need a studio to approve your budget. And that’s exactly what Warner Bros. has done. George Clooney said the studio has officially greenlit another installment in the heist franchise and that they will likely begin filming in nine or ten months.

Clooney told E! News that the long rumored/wished for Ocean’s Fourteen is really happening and it’s happening soon. He said, “We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros.” That’s obviously a big requirement for any movie. (Some might say the biggest!) But now comes another challenge: scheduling. As Clooney noted, everyone needs to be available to actually shoot this new installment. That is especially hard for a film with so many A-listers, some of whom Clooney confirmed will reprise their role in the latest sequel. He mentioned how excited he is to once again work with Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle.
Even with those scheduling issues, he said he expects filming to begin in roughly nine or ten months. What he didn’t say was who else would round out the crew of 14. Two of the original members of Ocean’s Eleven have passed away since 2007’s Ocean’s Thirteen. Bernie Mac died in 2008 and Carl Reiner passed away in 2020. At least some, if not all, of the crew from the spinoff film Ocean’s 8 could appear in Ocean’s Fourteen.
That movie claimed Danny Ocean had died. His sister and fellow master thief, Sandra Bullock’s Debbie Ocean, wasn’t convinced. Neither were we. Rightfully, it turns out. Warner Bros. just approved the money to bring Danny Ocean back from the dead.
