Inside Out 2 is the Most-Watched Film on Disney+ in Years

Not content with being the highest grossing animated movie of all time, now Inside Out 2 is the biggest film on Disney+.

After dropping on Disney+ on September 25, Pixar’s instant classic has had 30.5M global views on Disney+ in its first five days. That makes it the best film premiere on Disney+ since 2021’s Encanto.

To put that in context, HBO’s The Penguin premiere attained 10.4M views in its first 11 days. Inside Out 2 is also the all-time most-watched film premiere of all time in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Inside Out 2 debuted in theatres on June 14 and managed to gross $1 billion in just 19 days. Not only does that make it the fastest animated film to do so, but it’s the highest-grossing movie of 2024. It’s also a hit with critics, scoring 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The comedy drama stars Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Maya Hawke, Ayo Adebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Paul Walter Hauser.
