Jeremy Renner announces new book events for his debut memoir 'My Next Breath'

Jeremy Renner is going on tour to celebrate his debut memoir My Next Breath! The actor will be stopping in New York and Pittsburgh, and each event ticket will include a free copy. "Excited to celebrate the release of My Next Breath with a couple of live & in person events," he shared on Instagram. "SEE YOU THERE."

The gripping and inspiring story of acclaimed actor Jeremy Renner’s near-fatal accident, and what he learned about inner strength, endurance and hope as he overcame insurmountable odds to recover, one breath at a time.

In the book, he will open up about January 1, 2023, when a 14,000-pound snowplow crushed him. He had been pronounced dead on the ice, but he survived despite paramedics thinking he would not.

"Two years after my accident I now find myself now surrounded by love, more connected to the people around me and filled with gratitude," he told PEOPLE. "I'm hopeful that by sharing my story, it might help anyone out there who is facing their own moment where it feels like the odds are against them."

This retelling is not merely a gruesome account of what happened to him; it’s a call to action and a forged companionship between reader and author as Jeremy recounts his recovery journey and reflects on the impact of his suffering. Ultimately, Jeremy’s memoir is a testament to the human spirit and its capacity to endure, evolve, and find purpose in the face of unimaginable adversity. His writing captures the essence of profound transformation, exploring the delicate interplay between vulnerability and strength, despair and hope, redemption and renewal.

My Next Breath will be released on April 29. He also narrated an audible book. "I’m so very excited to share such an intimate narrative, detailing all things that transpired during the incident, the love, the loss, the recovery and the wonderful lessons and confirmations of life and beyond," he wrote on social media. "You were there with me then, you are here with me now … bless you."

Renner is currently in production for season 4 of Mayor of Kingstown
