King of the Hill Renewed for Season 15

King of the Hill is one of the most beloved adult animated series. It focuses on the Hills, a small family living in a fictional Texan town. They navigate through life, tackling any hurdles that come their way. A majority of these adventures follow the family patriarch Hank and his son. Though their other family members, friends, and neighbors often take the spotlight as well.

The show initially ran for thirteen seasons, but recently got a new installment on Hulu. It continues the Hill family’s escapades following an in-universe timeskip, bringing some interesting changes. The fourteenth season, so far, has received mostly positive reception from viewers and long-term fans.  So would it surprise you to learn that it’s returning for another season?

King of the Hill Season 14

The King of the Hill revival season began with Hank and Peggy returning to Texas. They’ve been living in Saudi Arabia, where Hank was working for a different propane company. Unfortunately, the older Hills become overwhelmed with confusion regarding how their hometown has changed. They eventually realize that Arlen is still the same despite its evolution. Now, their only obstacle is figuring out what to do in their retirement.

Bobby, now 21, partially owns and works as the head chef of a Dallas-based restaurant. He specializes in combining the authentic flavors of Japanese and German cuisines. The only downside is that he works under Ted Wassanasong and his spoiled son, Chane. While not working at the grill, Bobby experiences the milestones of young adulthood. And attempts to reconnect with his childhood friend and ex-girlfriend, Connie Souphanousinphone.

The King’s Coming Back for More

The fourteenth season of King of the Hill acquired much praise, especially from franchise fans. They adored how it captures the heart of the original despite the modernization. The only criticisms they had were with the overall pacing and structure of some episodes. Nevertheless, the revival is considered a successful masterpiece by all viewers. It’s even considered one of the most-watched adult animated series on Hulu and Disney+.

Recently, the world got confirmation that a fifteenth season is on the way! The decision to continue this renewed series comes from its recent success. In actuality, Hulu originally ordered 20 episodes back in 2023. This current arc only got 10, so this upcoming Season 15 will complete that request.

This announcement, obviously, has also generated hope for more seasons following this upcoming one. Luckily, the possibility seems high given the success and quality of Season 14’s episodes. But we won’t know for sure until King of the Hill returns next year.

Final Thoughts

This news about King of the Hill Season 15 is super exciting! I’m quite the fan, having watched a decent proportion of the show already. Yet I haven’t watched the entirety of the original thirteen seasons. It’s another thing on a bucket list that I want to cross off.

I’ve watched and thoroughly enjoyed this brand-new fourteenth season of King of the Hill. I often rewatch this arc, or a few episodes, whenever I get the chance. My favorite aspect is that the characters are actually older, yet their personalities remain unchanged. Something shows, like The Simpsons, only do for their non-canonical episodes. Overall, it feels like an ideal continuation, and I’m ready for those new 2026 episodes!
