Dallas Mavericks minority owner and billionaire Mark Cuban has a prediction for who will become the first trillionaire in the world.

Cuban was a guest on the High Performance podcast and while he did not name a specific person for his prediction, the former Shark Tank star did say that he thinks an entrepreneur who comes up with the right idea involving artificial intelligence will become the first trillionaire.

Cuban even went as far as to say it could be "one dude in a basement," so take note if you're a dude in a basement who is messing around with AI.

“The technology is changing so quickly. Somebody will come up with a new way to utilize it in a way we never thought about before," Cuban said of AI. "I mean, all this stuff is just changing every single day. And just like we saw from the early days of PCs, early days of networks, early days of internet, early days of mobile phones, early days of 5G, there’s always something bigger and better that’s created by an innovative entrepreneur. But AI just dwarfs all that. We haven’t seen the best or the craziest of what it’s going to be able to do. And not only do I think it’ll create a trillionaire, but it could be just one dude in a basementThat’s how crazy it could be.”

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk holds the title of the world's richest person, with an estimated net worth of $402 billion, per Forbes.

But, according to Tami Luhby of CNN Business, an Oxfam report projects that Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault and family could become trillionaires within the next decade.

Therefore, that "one dude in a basement" better hurry up.
