Maybe Morgan Wallen should just stay away from "Saturday Night Live?" It doesn't seem to go super great for the country musician when it comes to the NBC staple. To that end, it is fitting that his upcoming album is called "I'm the Problem," because that very much is the case when it comes to his controversial "SNL" moments.
Thank you, Mikey Madison and @MorganWallen! Goodnight! pic.twitter.com/FDlInhhHqb

Oscar winner Mikey Madison was the host, with Wallen serving as the musical guest. The singer was there for the traditional "SNL" closing credits, but just briefly. After acknowledging Madison, Wallen walked off stage without having a single moment with the "SNL" cast, a truly bizarre, and petty, action. Later, he posted a photo of a private jet on his Instagram with the caption "Get me to God's country." Because what could be more relatable to Heartland Americans than flying on a private jet?
Previously, Wallen courted controversy when he was to be the musical guest on the October 2020 episode of "Saturday Night Live." This was in the height of COVID-19 restrictions on activities, and social media posts emerged showing Wallen at parties surrounded by people and just kissing randos and what have you, leading to his guest appearance being nixed. Oh, and this wasn't related to "SNL," but there was the time he was caught on video using a racial slur.
In the end, whatever Wallen's reason for taking his ball and going home during the "SNL" closing credits, one thing is clear: his act is getting old.
