It was confirmed in April that the Peaky Blinders movie starts filming in September, and we now have proof that production is underway from Netflix.
"By order of the Peaky Blinders... Tommy Shelby is back," says Netflix, who made the official announcement that the cameras are rolling on X (formerly known as Twitter) by sharing a photo of Cillian Murphy reprising his iconic role.
Alongside this, Netflix also shared an image of Murphy with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, who is on set serving as writer and producer.

So far, the only confirmed cast starring alongside Murphy are Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth, but Netflix has yet to give us a preview of these stars in action.
In an interview in June, Cillian Murphy called the new Peaky Blinders movie "one for the fans", but did a good job keeping exact details under lock and key because plot details remain unknown.
Peaky Blinders was on television between 2013 and 2022 and followed a family of gangsters in 1900s England, with Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) serving as their boss.
The name comes from the razor blades the gang would keep in the peaks of their caps.
Further details on the movie are yet to come, and a release date has not yet been revealed.
