Susan Kelechi Watson is out here looking for her Randall Pearson.
But the 39-year-old This Is Us star doesn't expect to find him by swiping right.
"I'm not good at the dating apps," she said during Friday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "'Cause, you know what? I feel like—I'm gonna put on the men. Y'all don't know y'all angles. So, I'm not good at picking these pictures.
Watson continued: "And then you see that person in person, and you're like, 'They're gorgeous! What in the world in wrong with them?' So I discovered a long time ago I'm not good at choosing from the pictures, and I just need it to be in person."
Watson previously announced her engagement to Jaime Lincoln Smith in September 2019, but as guest host tWitch pointed out, she posted to her Instagram Story last November that she is now single.
On NBC's hit drama series This Is Us, Watson is one half of certified couple goals with Sterling K. Brown. In the show, they respectively play Beth and Randall Pearson—college sweethearts married with three daughters.
"I am blessed, truly," Watson said of being Brown's TV wife. "I really have what I know what I will consider for the rest of my life one of the best scene partners to have."
This Is Us , created by Dan Fogelman, also stars Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley and Chris Sullivan. Season 5, airing now, has Phylicia Rashad in a recurring role as Beth's mother.
