Taylor Swift Left One of Her Closest Friends off 2025 Super Bowl Invite List: Report

The reported tension between pop star Taylor Swift and actress Blake Lively is apparently very real, according to a new report from TMZ.

It’s been speculated that Swift invited Lively, who was once one of her closest friends, and her husband Ryan Reynolds to join her in her suite at the Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday for Super Bowl 59 to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles, but it seems that is a myth.

Swift and Lively’s friendship has been in the news a lot recently with the latter involved in a $400 million lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, her “It Ends With Us” co-star, who she’s accused of sexual harassment, retaliation and orchestrating a media smear campaign against her.

Swift was dragged into the middle of the lawsuit after Baldoni alleged that Lively used her friendship with the 14-time Grammy winner to strong-arm him into editing certain scenes her way against his wishes, which has reportedly caused a rift between the two Hollywood A-listers.

“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Blake is not on Taylor's list of guests as she watches BF Travis Kelce take a run at 3 rings in a row,” TMZ reported. “We're told, despite what Blake thinks, their friendship is fractured after a text surfaced where Blake told Justin Baldoni she was Khaleesi (from ‘Game of Thrones’) and hubby Ryan Reynolds and Taylor were her ‘dragons.’

“Taylor has not seen Blake in a while ... she's been spending lots of time with Travis and hasn't been in New York recently, but we're told the distance is more than geographic.”

Lively and Reynolds sat with Swift at last year’s Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and the couple spent time with Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce just a few months ago.

The new development comes just a few days after the U.S. Sun reported that Swift and Lively had been making Super Bowl plans together since before the season started.

“[Swift and Kelce] told them not to book anything for [February] and to get ready to go to New Orleans at the beginning of the year,” a source told the Sun. “… This has been a conversation since the beginning of the season, but now Travis and the Chiefs have reached the Super Bowl, it’s time to get the preparations for the big game started.”

Other celebrities Swift has reportedly extended a Super Bowl invitation to include Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, Sabrina Carpenter and Ice Spice.
