Tom Hardy Set to Team With Pierce Brosnan for Guy Ritchie Gangster Series

Guy Ritchie’s new gangster series is about to get a massive shot in the arm with the reported addition of Tom Hardy to the cast.

Hardy is currently in talks to join Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren in Paramount drama The Associate. If he signs on, he’ll play the character of Harry, a fixer in the criminal underworld that makes other peoples’ problems go away.

Mirren and Brosnan, meanwhile, are husband and wife, ruling their crime family with an iron fist. “With the most powerful clients in Europe, Guy Ritchie’s The Associate will see family fortunes and reputations at risk, odd alliances unfold, and betrayal around every corner;” writes Deadline.

“While the family might be London’s most elite fixers today, the nature of their business means there is no guarantee what’s in store tomorrow.” Hardy hasn’t been confirmed for the role, but it won’t be the first time he teamed up with Ritchie.

The pair collaborated on 2008 gangster movie RocknRolla, in which Hardy plays criminal Handsome Bob. Ritchie’s most recent show is The Gentlemen, a generally well-received Netflix series with a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes.
