Tom Holland Wears Wacky Wigs in LEGO Short Film ‘Never Stop Playing’
Tom Holland in four different roles centered by him as a LEGO minifg The LEGO Group

Tom Holland is best known for playing Peter Parker. However, he’s more than just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The man has range, and he showed off just how wide it is in LEGO’s new commercial/short film. It features Holland promoting play by playing a whole lot of very different roles.

Holland has partnered with LEGO for a fast-paced new short film (a.k.a. a fancy ad), “Never Stop Playing.” Scored to AC/DC’s “High Voltage,” it continues LEGO’s push to encourage people of all ages to play more. The short starts with a troubled Holland filming an action movie with the total opposite message. The commercial then follows him imagining himself in different roles of all different ages. From a footballer and entrepreneur, to the owner of a gallery and an old man in his garden, Holland has a whole lot of fun in a whole lot of very silly roles. But no matter who he plays, each time he puts together two LEGO bricks they inspire him to never give up the fun of play.

Holland’s brothers Sam and Harry also make cameos in the short. That’s only fitting since the Spider-Man star says they played with them together as kids. “I loved building with LEGO bricks as a child,” Holland said in a press release. “My brothers and I would create our own wild worlds, turning the living room into a prehistoric jungle with our LEGO dinosaur set or set up racing tracks for our LEGO cars! It was fun to relive those memories on set. Becoming an official ‘Playmaker’ is very cool. No matter how busy life gets, I’ve never stopped playing…and I don’t plan to anytime soon!

Tom Holland is like us. He still likes playing with LEGO. But he probably won’t be playing an old, bald, jowly CEO again anytime soon. Sure, he might have range, but he’s still only 29.
