If you played the Twisted Metal games back in the '90s, specifically the game Twisted Metal 4, which dropped in 1999, you'll almost certainly remember the headbanging jam from Rob Zombie, "Dragula." This stomping track is a late '90s videogame classic, and now, in Twisted Metal Season 2, that song is very much back.
In a new clip, which reveals the deadly "Tournament" in Season 2, Twisted Metal gets back to its roots as "Dragula" plays over a scene of complete and utter vehicular mayhem.
In this series, the context of this scene is that John (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) are entering into the Tournament, which is run by the mysterious Calypso (Anthony Carrigan). If John and Quiet win the tournament, they do win "A single wish, their greatest heart's desire, granted."
But, John and Quiet have a lot of competition this season, specifically the insane clown known as Sweet Tooth, played by the body of Joe Seanoa with the voice of Will Arnett. In the clip, Sweet Tooth drives his signature ice cream truck, hurtling all sort of bombs and missiles.
The over-the-top action will remind anyone of the classic 1990s games, but it's probably the Rob Zombie track that makes things feel truly authentic.
Twisted Metal will hit Peacock on July 31, 2025.
