"When [Styles] said that the song is about a [expletive], I'm reading it and being like, 'It's so wonderful and warm,'" Sheeran says at the end of the clip. "And I read that and I went, 'Oh, now I get it.'"
Styles confirmed at one of his Love On Tour stops in Nashville earlier this month that "Watermelon Sugar" is "about the sweetness of life" and "the female orgasm":
"Watermelon Sugar" arrived in late 2019 and became Styles' first solo No. 1 single on Billboard's Hot 100 chart since departing One Direction. The hit won Styles' his first Grammy in March for best pop solo performance.
Sheeran must have visited Hits Radio before testing positive for COVID-19. The four-time Grammy winner's full Hits Radio appearance will be available here early Saturday morning.
