Like any father-daughter relationship, Pat and Maggie Sajak sometimes but heads. The Wheel of Fortune social correspondent jokingly called her dad “difficult” in a recent video and said she gets her sass from him. Fans reacted to the comment.
“When your dad matches your energy a little too well,” Maggie wrote on top of the video. She lip-synced to an audio from Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“Have you ever come across somebody more difficult than yourself?” Maggie lip-synced over Kourtney Kardashian‘s voice while sitting down at the kitchen island.
Pat turned around from the cabinet he was standing in front of, holding a glass, and mimicked Scott Disick‘s voice, saying, “You’re up there.”
“Had to get my sass from somewhere,” Maggie captioned the Instagram post on May 24. She has gotten Pat to do videos with her on social media since he has retired. Clearly, she was joking about calling him “difficult,” but fans jumped to Pat’s defense.
“Pat Sajak is America’s Dad, we grew up with him too,” one fan wrote.
“Your dad is an icon,” another said.
“Your dad is one of the greatest human beings to have ever lived,” a third added.

“He came before you, so technically you’re matching his,” a fan pointed out about matching energies.
“He had that answer down pat,” a fan laughed.
“You are both awesome,” another said.
“Miss him,” many fans wrote.
Many others said that they are the same way with their dads. Others commented with laughing emojis.
Maggie joined WOF in 2021 as the social correspondent, after filling in for both Pat and Vanna White in 2020 when they were out. She also filled in for White during a 2023 Celebrity Wheel of Fortune episode when White was a contestant. Maggie and Pat worked together for a few years on the game show before he retired in 2024.
Now, he just makes videos with Maggie, sometimes shocking fans by swearing. Maggie typically shares photos of Pat when they go to sports games together, keeping fans in the loop on what the retired host is up to now.
