Chappell Roan is taking a stand for herself once again as she speaks up against Billboard who reported that she’s splitting with her management team and her manager. The singer took to social media to slam the outlet.
Roan has often been one to speak up when things get out of hand and has often been criticised for it. Here’s why she split with her management and how she reacted to Billboard reporting it.
Following the announcement that Chappell Roan receiving six Grammy nominations, a recent Billboard story confirmed that the singer has split ways with her management. The outlet has not specified the reason.
However, ot is reported that Roan’s management company, State of the Art, didn’t include the ‘Casual’ singer in a congratulations message that included other Grammy nominations received by its artists, which is likley to have caused the split. Roan was being managed by Noah Bobetsky.
Bobetsky has been all praise for Chappell in the past. He once told Music Business Worldwide, “What I saw, straight away, was already a next-level talent and a level of confidence, even at that stage of her career, that was truly remarkable. She was still only 19, but it was clear to me that Chappell was going to be an artist that really mattered for a long time.”
As the outlet made an Instagram post about Roan’s split with the management team, the artist took to the comment section and wrote, “Y’all suck for this.”
Many fans soon reacted to Roan’s statement, as a lot of users called her out for being unhappy and angry all the time. Many stated that it’s the news site’s job to report news.

While many fans also defended her, saying that people are blowing things out of proportion.
As of now, it has not yet been confirmed why she split with her team. Billboard hasn’t reacted to Chappell’s statement either.
