It has been a very eventful past couple of months for United States figure skater Amber Glenn.

In March, the 26-year-old made her Winter Games debut in the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. Glenn helped lead Team USA to a gold medal in the team event. She also competed in the individual event, finishing fifth overall.

The Plano, Texas native followed her Olympic stint with a trip to Prague for the 2026 World Figure Skating Championships. She finished sixth in the competition, concluding another memorable season.

As it turns out, this year’s Worlds does not appear to be Glenn’s final appearance in the prestigious competition.

There has been a lot of talk about Glenn's retirement of late. At 26, she is already considered to be at the tail end of her figure skating career.

In a recent interview, Glenn was asked about what the future holds for her. The three-time U.S. national champion addressed her looming retirement decision head-on.

“It is definitely something that is in my brain, but it's hard to make the decision when I am — still feels like I'm in last season because I'm still doing programs all the time,” she said. “So as of right now, it's a decision I will make in the summer, but I definitely don't think I'm done with figure skating.”

While Glenn did not confirm it directly, it appears that she’s not done yet. The five-time ISU Challenger series medalist clearly believes that she still has a lot of gas left in the tank.

“I just, I love it so much,” Glenn said of skating. “As long as my body keeps going and is healthy mentally and physically, I don't want to stop.”

As Glenn said, she will announce her official decision in the summer. However, based on her comments here, it appears that Glenn is all but ready to push retirement back for at least another year.
