Day 2 of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix turned out to be a complete disaster for Scuderia Ferrari. After Charles Leclerc finished fifth and Lewis Hamilton 10th in free practice 3, many hoped to see a better face during qualification.
After a tumultuous Q1 session that saw Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda and Alpine's debutant Franco Colapinto clash and provoke two red flags, Ferrari were ready to keep advancing and have a shot at the pole position in Q3.
Unfortunately for all the tifosi in attendance, the situation went south quickly, as the Ferraris were eliminated at the hands of two surprising drivers: Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.
The Aston Martin tandem took out the Ferrari duo as the clock ran out. Additionally, Mercedes rookie sensation Kimi Antonelli was also eliminated in front of his fans.
Amid a slow start to the 2025 season, Ferrari hoped to show a better face in front of their loyal fans. However, they will have to put in extra effort on Sunday after a disastrous qualifying session.

Ranking fourth in the constructors' championship, Ferrari need to lock in and improve their performance before the season becomes a worse disaster. Hamilton asked fans for patience, but it seems as though they're regressing every week.
Fans are expressing their unhappiness with the team's current state and unless something extraordinary happens tomorrow, they will keep growing frustrated with the Scuderia.
