- Week 12 Schedule, Predictions
I’m very well aware that this was included in the Double Digit Home Dog segment of the program back in the No. 10 pick, but I’m going against the gods on to dive into another belief system.
I say this as a graduate of the University of Wisconsin without fear or favor. The easiest ATS calls this season so far have been the good teams against the Badgers.
Alabama 42-10. Easy.
USC - at the time it seemed like it was good - 38-21. Easy.
Penn State 28-13, Iowa 42-10. Easy, peasy.
Wisconsin 42-7 over Rutgers, 23-3 over Northwestern, 52-6 over Purdue - those were easy the other way.
I do buy into the idea that the Badgers are WAY overdue to pull something strong out of their … game plan. But at this point I am so far ahead of the game when it comes to this team that we can take a chance or two.
Oregon is good at college football this year, Wisconsin isn’t, and once again the Badger O that did nothing against Bama, Penn State, and Iowa will stall, only this time against the No. 1 team in the country.
Line: Point Total 63.5
Prediction: Over
For what it’s worth, I debated between the over on this and the 62.5 UAB at Memphis - spooked a little that UAB’s O is about the stall.
Again with my theme this week - this seems way off.
Don’t be fooled by the Tar Heels keeping Florida State to 11 and Virginia to 14 over the last two games. Those are aberrations or a defense that’s about to give up at least 27 to Wake Forest.
The Demon Deacon offense should be good for at least 30, and the North Carolina O that’s been hitting 34 in each of the last three games and six times on the season should do its part. And why?
Cal put up 46 on Wake Forest last week, Clemson hung up 49, Louisiana 41, and Ole Miss 40. The teams that didn’t score at least 30 points on the Demon Deacons don’t have the O. North Carolina does.
