After the Wisconsin football staff potentially rounded out the 2026 defensive line class, a three-star recruit cancelled an upcoming visit.
Jermaine Polk, a 2026 three-star defensive lineman, is a talented Ohio native who had previously booked an official visit with Wisconsin for the weekend of June 5th. However after the Wisconsin staff landed two defensive line commitments in the same day, Polk announced that he would no longer attend his previously scheduled Madison visit.

Wisconsin managed to pickup commitments from three-star defensive linemen Djidjou Bah and Arthur Scott, with the latter being a fellow Ohio native. Polk will visit Iowa State and Iowa after previously visiting Boston College to round out his updated official visit schedule.
The talented defensive lineman was once considered to be a player the Wisconsin football staff had been looking to lock-down. However, a shift in the mold that the Badgers had been looking for along the defensive line led to Wisconsin finding two quick commitments. If Bah and Scott were to not come into the fold, it is possible that Polk would still attend his Madison official visit.
With Polk likely out of the picture entirely after cancelling his official visit, the Wisconsin football staff could potentially have already completed the 2026 defensive line class.
Wisconsin currently holds commitments from Scott, Bah, and three-star Carmelow Reed who just visited Ole Miss this past weekend. Reed has been on flip watch, but with the recruit returning to Madison this weekend and Polk backing out of his visit, Wisconsin might be done with the defensive line for now.
Florida Gators commitment Jamir Perez will be on campus this weekend as well, but has held solid thus far. Perez was previously considering Wisconsin and had committed to the Gators over the Badgers and the hometown Ohio State Buckeyes.
Outside of Perez and Reed, Wisconsin currently has no other defensive linemen scheduled to visit campus in the 2026 class.

Bah was the last defensive line recruit Wisconsin pursued heavily and an offer was only extended last month to the recruit. Indiana native Kobe Cherry is a recruit to watch after adding Wisconsin, Indiana, and Purdue to his final three schools. Landing Cherry is possible but unlikely as the Wisconsin football staff has not recruited the defensive lineman as long as the opposing programs.
