News this afternoon is that forward Danny Katic is signing a one-year AHL contract with the Belleville Senators. The 24-year-old played in 14 games for the Chicago Wolves last season, recording four points on a goal and three assists. He was even in plus/minus with a power-play goal and 23 penalty minutes. Katic also played in 24 games with the Bloomington Bison, recording 21 points on 13 goals and eight assists. He was a minus-one with three power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 32 penalty minutes.

Katic spent four seasons in the OHL with the Saginaw Spirit. In 170 games, he had 67 points on 23 goals and 44 assists. He was a plus-five with 109 penalty minutes. He then spent a season with the University of Toronto in USports. In 17 games, he had 16 points on four goals and 12 assists. He had 32 penalty minutes.
In 2022-23, he joined the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL. In 67 games, he had 40 points on 18 goals and 22 assists. He was a -16 with six power-play goals and 123 penalty minutes. In 12 Kelly Cup Playoff games, he had ten points on two goals and eight assists. He was a minus-six with a game-winning goal and eight penalty minutes. In 2023-24, he played in 60 games for the Admirals, recording 50 points on 24 goals and 26 assists. He was a +20 with five power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, two game-winning goals, and 122 penalty minutes.
