Peter Notaro announced a verbal commitment to Alabama football on last week, and he is excited to take on the challenge of dawning the crimson and white.
Notaro is considered the Nation’s No. 4 kicker, according to Kohl’s Kicking. The rising senior currently attends North Allegany High School in Pennsylvania.
The Crimson Tide beat out Ohio State, Pitt and West Virginia to pick up a commitment from Notaro. His decision came down to his relationship with the Alabama staff and the expected opportunity at kicker for the Tide in 2025.
“It was the relationships I have with the coaches for sure and the opportunity for me coming in next year,” Notaro told Touchdown Alabama.
Alabama had been building a relationship with Notaro for several months. He earned a verbal offer in June.
The Pennsylvania product is no stranger to Alabama football or the Yellowhammer State.
“I have family that live in Birmingham, and I have always been a huge fan,” Notaro said. “Bama is the highest standard and the history speaks for itself. That’s the standard I want to be held to.”
Notaro was 7-of-8 on field goals last season with a long of 47. 74 percent of Notaro’s kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
Kohl’s Kicking describes Notaro as a specialist, who ‘has continued to get stronger and make gains.’
