CJ Craig-James has an offer list many high school football players would love to have as a sophomore at Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama.
Craig-James holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Oregon and a long list of other programs.
The Crimson Tide got the in-state recruit back on campus this week after offering him in March. It marked Craig-James’ second trip to Tuscaloosa since earning an offer from Alabama, and the visit was another great one for the 2028 recruit.
“I loved it,” Craig-James told Touchdown Alabama. “Those guys really make me feel at home.”
Alabama’s secondary coaches, Jason Jones and Maurice Linguist, are leading the Tide’s push for Craig-James. He feels his relationships with both coaches are in a good position at the moment, describing them as ‘really good.’
“They don’t just talk football with me but give life lessons,” said Craig-James.
When the Tide offered him in March, the sophomore had to hold back tears.
“When I got the call about the Alabama offer, I almost cried in my room,” Craig-James said. “I was so happy, man. I’ve been waiting so long for this moment. This has been my dream school since I was a little boy. I’m so excited I got the offer from Alabama.”
At 6-foot-3, James is a long safety who hovers around the backend of the Parker defense with great anticipation skills and impressive closing speed on the football field. He is known as a physical defensive back, and he wants there to be no doubt about his speed going forward.
