Chubba Purdy could move to his fourth different college football team this winter.

Purdy, the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, began his collegiate career with two seasons at Florida State before transferring to Nebraska. Following two years with the Cornhuskers, he went to Nevada for the 2024 season.

According to multiple reports, Purdy has entered the transfer portal again. On3's Pete Nakos, Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of 247Sports, and ESPN's Max Olson all confirmed that the 23-year-old is back in the portal as a graduate transfer.

Chubba Purdy hasn't played much at any of his landing spots. He's thrown seven touchdowns to eight interceptions across five seasons.

The former four-star recruit started Nebraska's final two games of the 2023 season. He ran for 104 yards in a 24-17 overtime loss to Wisconsin and amassed 189 passing yards, a touchdown, and an interception in a 13-10 loss to Iowa.

Purdy left Lincoln after Nebraska snagged prized quarterback prospect Dylan Raiola, who has led the Huskers to a 6-6 season as a true freshman. He may have anticipated a clearer path to a starting role at Nevada, but former Colorado quarterback Brendon Lewis won the job in his second season with the Wolf Pack.

Nevada went 3-10 with no wins in Mountain West Conference play. Purdy spent most of the 2024 campaign on the bench, but he completed 13 of 18 passes for 155 yards, one touchdown, and one pick in a 34-13 loss to Hawaii on Oct. 26.

Purdy will use his sixth and final year of collegiate eligibility to search for another opportunity.
