The Chicago Bulls are adding to their backcourt depth following the draft, agreeing to Exhibit 10 contracts with undrafted guards Caleb Grill and Wooga Poplar, according to reports from The Wichita Eagle’s Taylor Eldridge and Draft Express’ Jon Chepkevich.
Grill, 25, was the oldest player listed on The Athletic’s draft board, coming in at No. 93. ESPN had him rated considerably higher, ranking him 67th overall and 15th among undrafted prospects. A Kansas native, Grill spent time at Iowa State and UNLV before closing out his college career at Missouri, where he won SEC Sixth Man of the Year honors in 2024-25.
In his lone season with the Tigers, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 26.2 minutes per game while shooting 47.2% from the floor, nearly 40% from beyond the arc, and 86.4% from the line.
Poplar also had a strong final season, transferring to Villanova after three years at Miami. The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 15.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 36 appearances for the Wildcats, shooting 46.0% overall and 38.7% from three.
Though he wasn’t ranked by ESPN or The Athletic, his combination of size, athleticism, and scoring touch made him an intriguing free agent target.
Both players are expected to join the Bulls for Summer League and could eventually land in the G League with the Windy City Bulls. Exhibit 10 deals are non-guaranteed contracts that can be converted into two-way deals and may include bonuses of up to $85,000 for players who spend 60 or more days with the team’s G League affiliate.
