Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark once again managed to prove that her fiancé, Connor McCaffery, always got her back, as the latter called out a huge sports brand Clark has a deal with over the snub she got recently.

Over at X, McCaffery called out Nike by reposting a tweet that pointed out the silence from the brand during the Fever’s preseason game against the Brazil National Team. Notably, Gatorade, another brand Caitlin Clark has a deal with, posted something to hype up her preseason game.

Caitlin Clark signed a historic endorsement deal with Nike, making her one of the most marketable athletes in women’s basketball. The agreement, valued at $28 million over eight years, included a signature shoe line, and placed her among an elite group of athletes with personalized footwear.

Clark had previously worked with Nike under an NIL deal during her college career at Iowa, but her transition to the WNBA led to a much larger contract. Competing brands like Under Armour and Adidas attempted to sign her, but Clark ultimately chose to remain with Nike due to their long-standing partnership.

Nike has heavily promoted Clark throughout her career, celebrating her record-breaking NCAA scoring achievements and featuring her in major advertising campaigns. Her signature shoe is expected to take several years to develop, following a process similar to A’ja Wilson’s upcoming Nike release.

Beyond her scoring, Clark orchestrated the Fever’s offense with precision, setting up teammates for easy baskets and maintaining a strong defensive presence. She played 19 minutes, shooting 6-of-10 from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.
