Carlos Ulberg walked into UFC 327 fighting for the vacant light heavyweight title and walked out with the belt in his hands. But his weekend is not over yet, as he is set to appear at WrestleMania 42 to support Roman Reigns on Night 2. The New Zealand fighter told Nina Drama he is heading to WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to support Reigns in the main event against CM Punk.
The connection between Ulberg and Reigns goes beyond casual fan support. He wore Reigns’ gear during his UFC 327 entrance. And the expectation is that Reigns will return the gesture by wearing Ulberg’s branding during his WrestleMania entrance.
“Obviously got Roman Reigns who’s gonna be doing his thing on Sunday. So we’ll go there and support you and I wore this on my fight just last weekend and then we’ve got the brother who’s gonna probably wear his on this entrance too so it’s just a weekend of celebrating PLs,” Ulberg said.

Two top fighters from the same background supporting each other across two big stages in the same weekend is a moment that feels natural and does not need to be created. The Tribal Chief faces the Second City Saint. The World Heavyweight Championship is on the line. The rivalry feels very personal.
Reigns worked very hard for this moment. In the 2026 Royal Rumble, he beat 29 other wrestlers to earn his title shot. That showed he really deserves it. When he wins like that, it feels big and special, not just something decided easily.
After the Rumble, the rivalry became very personal. Punk went after Reigns’ family, which matters a lot to him. Reigns hit back by calling Punk old. Both took shots that felt real, and that made the match feel even bigger.
The title did go Ulberg’s way at UFC 327. WrestleMania weekend gives him somewhere to be anyway, and Roman Reigns apparently saved him a seat. The Punk vs Reigns match headlining WrestleMania 42 Night 2 is the kind of main event WWE builds for years. Streaming live on Peacock in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
