A fifth transfer player committed to the Bearcats in Baylor swingman Jalen Celestine on Monday. ESPN's Jonathan Givony reported the news as the 6-7, 215-pound veteran player continues his career in Clifton.
Celestine has one more year of eligibility after three seasons at Cal and one at Baylor. He averaged 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds on 38% shooting from the floor this past season. Celestine started 11 games in the slate.
He slots in as a swing piece alongside Sencire Harris as a tweener between guard and forward. Celestine mostly attempted threes this past season, shooting 35.4% from outside and 78.6% from the free-throw line.
Celestine makes up 11 scholarship players out of a possible 15 for Cincinnati.
