Now here's a team that quite literally can't stop winning. LSU-Shreveport has become the first college baseball team on record to go undefeated for an entire season, finishing with a perfect 59-0 record.
According to ABC News, the Pilots' season ended in the NAIA championship when they defeated Southeastern (FL) 13-7 to win the title and achieve their first national title in any sport. LSU-Shreveport have been a dominant force in NAIA baseball for a long time, but claiming the title had eluded them until their win on Friday night.
But this season was no fluke. It was sheer dominance.
Of the Pilots' 59 wins, only four of them were decided by a single run. They ranked second in the 241-team NAIA with 11.3 runs per game and ranked third with a .361 batting average. They had a 2.38 combined ERA and a .982 fielding percentage - both of which led the nation. Three separate players batted over .400, with Josh Gibson leading the team with a bonkers .436.
Among their pitchers, Isaac Rohde was the superstar. He led the NAIA with 146 strikeouts and a 2.09 ERA. He was credited with a 16-0 record.
The team shattered the prior NAIA single-season winning percentage of .935, set by Mount Vernon Nazarene in 1996.

Congratulations have been pouring in for the team all day:
"Tell me again that you have to play Division I baseball to be the best… Those NAIA dudes ain’t no joke," one user on X declared.
"Amazing!!!!! The positive impact of athletics at your school. Good Morning America and Sportscenter just to name a couple national media outlets showing love to LSUS. Everybody wins! Congrats to the Pilots on their historic season! Go Pilots!!! #shreveport #proudalum," an LSU-Shreveport alum wrote.
"Let them play in Omaha," a third user suggested, referring to the site of the College World Series.
"LSU Shreveport didn’t just play ball—they owned the diamond with a dynasty for the ages."
Some fans dismissed what LSU-Shreveport achieved, mocking the team for playing in the NAIA rather than the NCAA. But going undefeated in any sport at any level is insanely challenging.
Going unbeaten in a sport with over 50 games in a season is practically unheard of.
Congratulations to everyone at LSU-Shreveport.
