Alan Jackson rose to fame in the late 1980's, part of a class of musicians that included George Strait and who helped change the way country music was viewed and listened to.
Jackson is now one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold over 75 million records across the globe in his 34-year career.
Now, the "Little Bitty" singer has some significant life news that he shared on X (formerly Twitter) heading into the weekend. Jackson is welcoming a second grandson to the world from his daughter Mattie Smith and her husband Connor.

“Blessings overflowing in our growing family!” Jackson wrote. “Denise and I are thrilled for our second grandson to arrive in June! We’re so happy for proud parents Mattie and Connor Smith and can’t wait to meet the next addition to our family.”
Jackson will have plenty of time to spend with his grandchildren as he announced his retirement from touring in 2022 with his "One More For The Road Tour."
The retirement announcement came on the heels of his revelation of having been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease for more than a decade, but he didn’t let the public know until September of 2023.
“I have this neuropathy and neurological disease,” Jackson said during a Today show interview. “It’s genetic that I inherited from my daddy. … There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious.”
However, the disease is not life-threatening nor does it reduce lifespan.
Right now, everything is looking up for Alan Jackson and the new addition to his beautiful family.
