More of the same in Philadelphia as Eagles general manager Howie Roseman continues to make really tough decisions with the roster.
Inside the Birds Eagles reporter Andrew DiCecco shared that sources told him that running back ShunDerrick Powell and safety Maxen Hook were cut from the team. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane added two more to that list with wide receivers Terrace Marshall Jr. and Elijah Cooks also being cut.

Each had moments during the spring/summer, but were also set back by injuries. Still, they faced a tough climb to the 53-man roster despite NFL experience.
Powell had some nice moments at training camp and preseason as he finished with 23 rushing yards and one touchdown. Marshall and Cooks were both heating up at training camp before separate injuries had them lose time and their roster spots to most likely Darius Cooper. Marshall had seven catches for 66 yards, and Cooks caught two passes for 14 yards.
Hook was the only defender cut from the Eagles on Monday, as he had a stellar preseason performance in the secondary. He was one of six Eagles who had 10 or more tackles in the preseason.
Marshall and Cooks were the toughest of the next batch of players to lose, as each had great moments at training camp where they were close to breaking through. Unfortunately, injuries were the reason they lost momentum in camp. Powell and Hook got good playing time in preseason, but with their positions so deep, it was going to be tough for both to make the roster.
The Eagles are most likely going to look at all four players as candidates for the practice squad. There have been players already, like Kyle McCord, who are pretty much automatic to make the practice squad.
It does feel like fan favorite Cooper might be able to sneak onto the 53-man roster. There will be others to keep an eye on over the next 24 hours.
Roseman will be hard at work throughout the night and Tuesday to finalize the roster and maybe throw in a trade or two in the process.
