The Indy Fuel have announced that they’ve signed rookie forward Eric Martin for the 2025-26 season. Martin, 25, joins the Fuel after finishing his final year of eligibility at Bemidji State University, where he put up 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in 37 games. He becomes the seventh forward and 12th player to sign with Indy for the 2025-26 season. Martin is the third forward coming out of college to join the Fuel.

The Calgary, Alberta, native began his career in the AJHL, where he played one game with the Spruce Grove Saints during the 2016-17 season. He would spend the following three years with the Drumheller Dragons, where he put up 27 goals and 61 assists for 88 points in 165 games. In his last season with Drumheller, he had 26 goals and 54 assists for 80 points in 57 games. He would lead the Dragon in both assists and points that season. In 10 AJHL playoff games, he would put up four goals and nine assists for 13 points.

Once finishing his junior career, Eric Martin would take the NCAA route, spending five years at Bemidji State University. He would put up 27 goals and 61 assists for 88 points in 165 games with the Beavers, and would have his junior year cut short due to injury after putting up four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 24 games. In his first season back from injury, he put up eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points as the Beavers won a CCHA Regular Season Championship. During his last two seasons with the Beavers, Martin would serve as an Alternate Captain.
