Calvary Day School has been quite good to the Vols over the years. Tennessee zeroed in on four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger in the 2024 cycle, making him their top quarterback priority and getting his signature on a letter of intent. Merklinger will be Tennessee's backup quarterback next season, an impactful role already for a true freshman. However, Tennessee isn't done with the Savannah, Georgia, powerhouse.

2025 three-star wide receiver Edward Coleman cut his list down to six schools on Wednesday morning and caught up with On3 about his decision, which you can read here. "I am looking to commit early in the spring or definitely by the summer," Coleman explained to Chad Simmons. "I have relationships with coaches from all six of these schools. They recruit me hard. Some schools on this list reach out every day, then the others talk to me at least three times a week."

"I don’t know as much about Tennessee because I haven’t been there yet, but I really like Coach Kelsey Pope and the offense they run." - Edward Coleman to On3's Chad Simmons
