ESPN+ App Not Working For Users Amid Texas-Sam Houston

With the No. 8 Texas Longhorns hosting the Sam Houston Bearkats on Saturday, fans across college football frequently found themselves frustrated with ESPN.

The game was streamed on SEC Network+ as well as ESPN+, but throughout the first half, fans across the country were having issues with the ESPN+ stream. As Texas quarterback Arch Manning looks to get his mojo back following a lackluster start to the season, the Longhorns went up 21-0 early in the second quarter.

However, fans online are complaining that they have missed most of the action. The game frequently freezes after ads, and restarting it only triggers more ads and another frozen screen.

"Is the Texas game on espn+ not working for anyone else," questioned one fan.

"Damn this espn plus app is trash. Trying to watch the Texas game and keeps saying playback error," said another.

"@ESPNFANSUPPORT watching the texas game on espn+ is completely broken for me. It stops at about 38 minutes of broadcast time and wont go any further. Have restarted it multiple times," wrote a third.

"@espn fix your app. It’s impossible to watch games live on it. Haven’t seen any of the three Texas touchdowns but I’ve seen plenty of ads I can’t skip," commented a fourth.

"Wish I could watch the Texas game but @espn is forcing this horrible app on people," added another.

Although technical difficulties can happen, this certainly is not going to go over well at ESPN headquarters.

The company launched its "enhanced" app in August, with its unlimited plan costing $30 a month and the select plan costing $12 a month.

ESPN has yet to release a statement on the issues.
