ESPN's "College GameDay" has long been one of the most popular pregame shows on national television, and even after the departure of the legendary Lee Corso following Week 1’s show in Columbus, Ohio, the program has continued on an upward trajectory.

The crew—Desmond Howard, Rece Davis, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, and Kirk Herbstreit—just wrapped up their Week 4 broadcast from the Miami Hurricanes campus ahead of the in-state showdown with the Florida Gators. On Saturday evening, they revealed where they’ll be headed for Week 5.

The weekly show will be headed to Happy Valley in Pennsylvania, for a top-10 showdown between the No. 2 Penn State Nittany Lions and the No. 6 Oregon Ducks.

"NEXT STOP: HAPPY VALLEY," they posted on social media. "See you next Saturday for a top-10 matchup between Oregon and Penn State."

Fans reacted with excitement to the announcement, though some expressed confusion over the choice, given the multiple high-profile SEC matchups, including No. 3 LSU vs. No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 22 Auburn vs. No. 10 Texas A&M, and No. 14 Alabama vs. No. 5 Georgia.

"WHAT?!?! Over Georgia and Alabama?!?" A fan said.

Someone else added, "The correct choice."

Another person wrote, "Not saying this is a bad selection just kinda crazy considering if I told you before the season CGD wasn’t going to Athens for GA vs BAMA you’d called me crazy."

"Perfect choice. ScoDucks!" One more fan commented.

In Week 3, "College GameDay" recorded its second-most-viewed episode ever and is currently up 39% in viewership compared to 2024, which itself was the show’s most-watched season ever.

Week 4’s numbers will be released this coming week, but anticipation for Week 5 is already building. With a rematch of last season's Big Ten Championship set to take place in Happy Valley, the show promises an electric atmosphere in a raucous State College crowd.
