The Arizona Sun Devils have many great things going for them as the summer approaches and the fall inches closer. The Sun Devils have put a lot of focus into the recruiting scene as of late, as they have already landed 14 commits in their 2026 recruiting class.
One of the commitments they have already landed in the 2026 recruiting class is Cortavious Tisaby. Tisaby is a 6-foot-7, 305-pound frame from South Oak Cliff High School in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The offensive tackle commit has been committed to the Sun Devils since November 24th, 2024. He has moved inside the top 500 in recruiting ranks according to On3, as he is a three-star commit across the board.
Tisaby recently caught up with Arizona State Sun Devils On SI to discuss where he stands with Arizona State at this stage in his recruitment and commitment to the Sun Devils.

"Being a commit is amazing," Tisaby confirmed to Arizona State Sun Devils On SI. "You connect with everyone fast, and the coaching staff will make you feel like family even though you aren’t there yet."
The class has been ranked inside the top 15 as they continue to work their way up the recruiting boards. This class has many talented recruits, and Tisaby has recognized that.
"It’s going smooth, we got some dogs, and I can’t wait to go on the journey with these guys, and I'm ready for what the future holds for this class," Tisaby said.
Among those recruits, Tisaby hasn't had a single one with whom he hasn't been able to connect well. He confirms that he has a special connection to all of the commits in the 2026 recruiting class. He does have one specific recruit that is committed that he will feel good playing beside.
"All of them really, when we had the OV weekend, it was really fun to connect with them, and another one is Marques (Uini). He was an All-American when I was, and felt good playing beside him."
Is peer recruiting others to Arizona State a factor for the talented offensive tackle? He believes that others need to know what Coach Dillingham is building at ASU.
"I always have to let people know what Coach Kenny (Dillingham) (Head Coach) is building and what ASU is going to bring to CFB."
There are many schools who will try to contact the talented offensive tackle, but he confirms with Arizona State Sun Devils On SI that he isn't really looking into them, as he is committed to the Sun Devils for a very specific reason.
"I'm not really looking into them, I’m 100% committed, and it’s going to be really hard to beat ASU."

The Texas Longhorns dropped to 3-2 after losing in Week 6 to the Florida Gators. After entering the 2025 season as one of college football's most hyped teams, the Longhorns are in danger of missing the College Football Playoff. To make Week 6 even worse, class of 2026 quarterback and Texas commit Dia Bell was in Tallahassee visiting the Florida State Seminoles. As a five-star recruit, per Rivals Industry Rankings, Bell is a sought-after prize. He is one of three five-star recruits Texas has landed in the 2026 cycle. However, his visit to Florida State raises questions about whether he's rethinking his commitment. In an article from Rivals' Marcus Benjamin, Bell clarified the visit was to support his brother Tai Bell, a four-star point guard in the 2028 recruiting class. “I was in Tallahassee tagging along and supporting my younger brother on his visit with FSU Men’s Basketball,” Bell said. “Tallahassee was crazy." The quarterback has remained loyal to Texas since committing in June. Bell announced in September he'd be cutting his senior year of football short due to a "minor procedure." However, he made it clear that he will be ready to get going with the Longhorns. "As disappointing as the ending of this chapter is for me," Bell said via an Instagram post. "I am even more excited about being 100% healthy and starting the next chapter in Austin!" In Benjamin's article, Bell also revealed he will be in Dallas on Saturday for the Red River Rivalry when Texas battles the rival Oklahoma Sooners and in Austin to watch the Longhorns host the Vanderbilt Commodores on Nov. 1.
Cowboys coach makes it sound like personnel change some were expecting won't happen ahead of Week 6
The Dallas Cowboys are trending toward getting starting left tackle Tyler Guyton back for Week 6's matchup versus the Carolina Panthers. According to head coach Brian Schottenheimer, Guyton is "finishing up" the concussion protocol and "hopefully, he'll be out of it shortly." However, after a standout performance from backup tackle Nate Thomas, it was unclear how secured Guyton's starting job protecting Dak Prescott's blindside. Some fans and even media members and content creators were expecting Thomas to keep the job over the former first-round. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer dissipated any doubts on Wednesday. "I'm a little bit old school, I don't really think you lose your job because of injury," Schottenheimer told reporters. "But it also doesn't guarantee that you're going to stay the full-time starter. It goes back to the whole mantra of 'compete everyday.' But when guys come back from injuries they're going to take their spot back." Though Schottenheimer was responding to a question that wasn't specifically about Guyton, the message was clear. Cowboys fans should expect Guyton back at left tackle when healthy, which could be as soon as next Sunday. Schottenheimer mentioned backups could earn increased playing time if they stand out while filling in for someone, but that's hard to do at offensive line. Continuity in the trenches is one of the most important aspects to an offensive line's success and rotating offensive tackles could do more harm than good. But does that mean Thomas' quality start meant nothing? Not quite. Could Nate Thomas compete for playing time moving forward? There's no question Thomas played a good game on Sunday and even in Week 4, when he handled Micah Parsons one-on-one more than once. During the Jets win, he showed his athleticism run blocking for Javonte Williams, including leading the way on his 66-yard run. So even if Thomas won't take Guyton's spot for good, he's played well enough to put Guyton and Terence Steele on notice. If they don't play good, there's a good backup waiting for his name to be called. And here's the thing: Thomas' name was called even before Guyton's injury. In Week 4's tie to the Green Bay Packers, the Cowboys rotated Thomas in at right tackle, taking Steele's place even though the latter was healthy. Benching Guyton is tough because he's a first-round talent. Even if he hasn't been perfect so far, the Cowboys believe in his talent and upside. Plus, he's been playing better and better this year despite missing most of training camp due to a knee injury. But Steele? It's much more realistic to take his place. He's been a liability in pass protection. And yet, Steele could be a Top 3 run blocker on the team. What is clear is Thomas is making the Cowboys' coaching staff at least look at him and keep him in mind. Bengals' Zac Taylor explains shocking Joe Flacco move for Packers game
Roughly 24 hours after outsiders learned that the Cincinnati Bengals were acquiring veteran quarterback Joe Flacco from the Cleveland Browns, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed that Flacco will start over Jake Browning when 2-3 Cincinnati plays at the Green Bay Packers (2-1-1) this coming Sunday. While speaking with media members, Taylor explained that somewhat surprising decision. Why Zac Taylor believes he can get Joe Flacco "up to speed quickly" "He's already spent a lot of time meeting with us, getting up to speed, so I feel really good about where he's at," Taylor said about Flacco, per Dave Clark of the Cincinnati Enquirer. "You just know him. ...Very comfortable with his style, concepts he's good at, things that we do. All of the terminology, there's a carryover, more so than I would have anticipated. So I feel like we can get him up to speed quickly." Flacco lost three of four September starts with the Browns before the Super Bowl XLVII Most Valuable Player was benched in favor of rookie Dillon Gabriel. According to Pro Football Reference stats, Flacco began Wednesday ranked last in the NFL among qualified players with a 60.3 passer rating for the ongoing season. Additionally, he's 28th out of 32 signal-callers with a 36.7 adjusted QBR. That said, Flacco is a 40-year-old who has seen every defensive concept an opposing coordinator could and will throw his way. Back on Sept. 21, he helped the Browns earn a 13-10 win over the Packers in downtown Cleveland. Zac Taylor likes that Joe Flacco faced this Packers defense in September "It's different than a young quarterback coming in, trying to learn the system and understand what a defense is trying to do to try to challenge you," Taylor added about his decision to start Flacco versus the Packers. "Not only that, but he's played Green Bay this year, so he's already gone through a week of prep. ...Now the communication and the weekly rhythm is maybe different and unique, but he's already prepared for this opponent. So he gets a chance to refresh himself on that, while at the same time just learning our system and our terminology...and how we operate." Shortly after Taylor made his comments, ESPN BET had the Bengals listed as massive 14.5-point underdogs against Green Bay. Perhaps that line and the fact that he was discarded by Cleveland will give Flacco some extra motivation heading into the showdown that will take place at Lambeau Field.
Steelers Get Multiple Injured Players Back Before Browns Game
The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their first injury report leading into a Week 6 AFC North clash with the Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium. Cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey (hamstring) and Darius Slay Jr. (rest), wide receiver Calvin Austin III (shoulder) and outside linebacker T.J. Watt (rest) all were listed as non-participants while defensive lineman Cameron Heyward (rest), outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (ankle) and wide receiver Ben Skowronek (illness) were all limited. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (hamstring) and running back Jaylen Warren (knee), on the other hand, were full participants. Skowronek's Status Skowronek was the only entry on the report that hadn't previously been forecast. The 28-year-old would still appear to be in line to play against the Browns, but it remains to be seen if he can participate in a full capacity before the end of the week. He has one catch on the season, which was a 22-yard touchdown against the New York Jets in Week 1, while logging 67 special teams reps. Ramsey and Austin Remain Out As expected, Ramsey and Austin did not participate with their respective injuries. Head coach Mike Tomlin insinuated that both players could progress as the week goes on after "aggressively attacking" their rehab, but either actually suiting up vs. Cleveland would appear to be a long shot at this point after sustaining their ailments in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings. Highsmith, Porter Jr. and Warren In Good Shape To Play The Steelers have been ravaged by injuries through the first quarter of the season or so, but they're set to get some reinforcements against the Browns. Highsmith, who hasn't played since suffering his injury against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, participated in practice for the first time since going down. Porter Jr. was a limited participant leading into Week 4, but he still wasn't healthy enough to suit up against the Vikings before Pittsburgh's bye week. Warren popped up on the injury report with his injury leading into the Steelers' matchup vs. Minnesota and was still expected to play, but was instead ruled out on the day of the game. With Tomlin stating that the arrow was pointing up for all three players, which was reflected on the injury report, it seems the trio is in a strong position to see the field vs. Cleveland.
