Finalists named for 2025 Minnesota Mr. Hockey award

The 10 finalists for this year's Minnesota Mr. Hockey award were officially released on Friday. 

  • Brent Solomon, forward, Champlin Park
  • Boden Sampair, forward, Holy Cross
  • Cooper Simpson, forward, Shakopee
  • Henry Lechner, forward, Academy of Holy Angels
  • Jackson Rudh, forward, St. Thomas Academy
  • John Hirschfeld, forward, St. Cloud Cathedral
  • Josh Toll, defense, Rosemount
  • Mason Jensen, forward, Rogers
  • Mason Kraft, forward, Moorhead
  • Nolen Geerdes, defense, Rogers

Section tournament play is heating up and this year's state tournament is less than two weeks away, with opening round action starting on March 5. 

The Frank Brismek Goaltender of the Year award finalists feature White Bear Lake's Leo Gabriel, Academy of Holy Angels' Luke Marsalek and Moorhead's Charlie Stenehjem. The award goes to the state's top senior goalie. 

The 41st annual Mr. Hockey Awards Banquet will be held on Sunday, March 9 at 12 p.m. at the St. Paul RiverCentre following the state tournament, which ends on March 8.
