Florida's 464-Pound DL Turns Down Chad Ochocinco's Offer to be Nutritionist
Doug Engle/Gainesville Sun

When the NFL draft rolls around, prospects come from all sorts of backgrounds and, of course, come in all different sizes.

One of the draft hopefuls hailing from the Florida Gators is defensive tackle Desmond Watson. He quickly became a fan favorite in Gainesville due to his monster size and fun energy, but even saying "monster size" may not do him justice. Assuming he doesn't shed significant weight, at his current 464 pounds, Watson would become the heaviest player in NFL history.

When appearing on "Night Cap" with Shannon Sharpe and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, Watson received a comical yet possibly semi-serious offer from Ochocinco. The former Bengals star receiver, who is infamous for loving McDonald's, offered Watson his services as a nutritionist.

"My resume it speaks for itself as far as being a nutritionist and be able to provide all of the necessary nutrients that you need to either gain or lose weight," Ocho said. "So if you want to get into contact with me it's a way to reach me and I can be down in Tampa tomorrow."

An offer that Watson quickly shut down.

"Yeah I heard about your meal plan," Watson said. "That's how I got like this in the first place, so I think I'll have to go somewhere else for that one."

Although teams may want Watson to shed some weight at the next level, he did have a productive career at Florida. He played in 51 games in four seasons, racking up 63 total tackles, four tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks

It's unclear if he will hear his name called, but Gators fans certainly would love to see him get a shot.
