Colorado football fans have long followed Jordon Dizon’s career with pride, but now there’s even more reason to celebrate. The former All-American linebacker and Colorado Buffaloes standout is making a triumphant return to the Mile High City—this time off the field.

The Denver Broncos announced this week that Dizon has been named their new Director of Pro Personnel, a major front office promotion that marks a homecoming in more ways than one. Dizon spent six years in the Broncos’ scouting department from 2015 to 2021, serving as both a pro scout and Assistant Director of Pro Personnel before taking a national scouting role with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, after three successful seasons helping shape one of the NFL’s most talent-rich rosters in Philadelphia, Dizon returns to Denver tasked with steering the Broncos’ pro scouting efforts into a new era. His hiring comes amid significant front office reshuffling around the league, particularly in Philadelphia, where Dizon is now the third key scout to depart this offseason.

Dizon’s resume speaks volumes. Before he ever scouted Sundays, he starred on Saturdays. In 2007, Dizon led the Buffaloes with 114 tackles in his senior season, earning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-American honors. His instinct, leadership, and relentless motor made him a fan favorite in Boulder and a fourth-round NFL Draft pick by the Detroit Lions.

Though his playing career was cut short after two seasons in Detroit, Dizon quickly transitioned into the scouting world—bringing his eye for talent and work ethic from the field to the front office.

This move is more than just a promotion; it’s a full-circle moment for a man whose football roots run deep in Colorado.

And for Buffs fans? It’s another reason to watch the Broncos closely this season.
