Former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has rejected a proposal from Premier League side Everton, as reports from Italy claim that the Swedish centre-back has his heart set on a move to Fiorentina.
According to what has been reported by the Corriere dello Sport this morning, the Swede rejected a move to Everton but is still in talks with the Viola over a potential move to Italy.
Lindelof would reportedly like to join former United teammate David De Gea in Florence but would need to accept a considerably reduced salary from the net €6 million per season he was earning in the North of England.
Yesterday, news broke that Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal were ready to table a serious offer for Fiorentina’s talented young Italian centre back Pietro Comuzzo.
Simone Inzaghi’s club are prepared to offer Fiorentina €35 million for the highly-rated youngster and whilst reports claim the defender would rather stay in Italy, the Viola would accept offers in that region.
