Georgia freshman LB Kamari Butler motivated by Alabama offer

Alabama football extended an offer to Kamari Butler after the Georgia product camped in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Butler is a product of Kennesaw Mountain High School in Georgia, and he is a 2028 prospect. He holds previous offers from Kennesaw State, UAB and South Florida.

The rising sophomore sees his Alabama offer as motivation.

“It pushes me to work and be better every day,” Butler told Touchdown Alabama. “It is my dream school. It is iron sharpens iron.”

Butler is listed at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds coming off his freshman campaign. His frame and athleticism have him trending to be an edge prospect.

“My speed and athleticism,” Butler said when asked what the strengths of his game. “I can do anything on the field, and I’m a leader.”
