Guard Hailey Van Lith was selected 11th overall in the 2025 WNBA draft by Chicago Sky. Playing for the TCU Horned Frogs as a senior, she averaged 17.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
Van Lith set career marks on Sunday, pouring in 16 points and grabbing five rebounds to lead the Sky to a 78–66 victory over the Connecticut Sun in their Commissioner’s Cup matchup at Mohegan Sun Arena.
She eclipsed her previous bests on both ends of the floor, sparking Chicago’s reserves to outscore the Sun’s second unit by a staggering 36–2 margin.
Van Lith delivered her season’s most efficient outing in just 24 minutes off the bench, connecting on 6 of 8 field-goal attempts and adding one assist and one block while posting a plus-23 plus-minus rating.
After Chicago held a narrow 38–36 halftime lead, Van Lith helped ignite an early fourth-quarter rally with four unanswered points, giving the Sky their first double-digit edge at 67–56 with seven minutes, 54 seconds remaining.
In the latter half of the contest, second-year forward Angel Reese made franchise history by recording her first WNBA career triple-double, finishing with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

With the win, the Sky improve to 3–7, while Connecticut falls to 2–8 and prepares for a grueling stretch of five games in eight days.
Connecticut now turns its attention to a home matchup against Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever on Tuesday, and the Sky will look to build on both Van Lith’s breakout night and Reese’s historic achievement by hosting the Washington Mystics on Tuesday.
