The College Football Playoff Selection Show took place on Sunday, and the official 12-team bracket has been released, complete with a full slate of games set to begin on December 20th.

The four first-round matchups are all highly anticipated, and one matchup will headline the prime-time slot on December 20th, while the other three will be played the following day on December 21st.

Here is the full first-round schedule:

Friday, December 20th:

  • No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Notre Dame, 8 p.m. EST

Saturday, December 21st:

  • No. 11 SMU Mustangs at No. 6 Penn State Nittany Lions, 12 p.m. EST
  • No. 12 Clemson Tigers at No. 5 Texas Longhorns, 4 p.m. EST
  • No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers at No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes, 8 p.m. EST

The College Football Playoff conference champions and teams with first-round bye weeks are No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Boise State, and No. 4 Arizona State.

Here are the potential second-round matchups:

  • Georgia will face the winner of Indiana vs. Notre Dame.
  • Oregon will take on the winner of Tennessee vs. Ohio State.
  • Boise State will meet the winner of SMU vs. Penn State.
  • Arizona State will face the winner of Clemson vs. Texas.

cWhile most of the field was set heading into Sunday, details such as matchups, locations, and dates/times were still up in the air. The most controversial decision was whether the committee would select Alabama or SMU for the final playoff spot.

Ultimately, the committee chose SMU, despite their loss in the ACC Championship Game, over Alabama, who had three losses and did not play that weekend.
